American Made Monster Studio
Riding down Ten
Broeck Avenue in midtown Kingston you’ll pass the warehouse operated by
American Made Monster Studio. You might be taken back and a little frightened
as you come upon a zombie world or an alien nation inside this 4000 sq. ft.
warehouse space, built back in 1955. It is the ideal wide-open space for the
artists who make the creations for American Made Monster Studio. Here, these
artists sculpt, weld, fabricate metal, mold, design sets, create lighting and
sound, and do make up design on the most amazing projects and monster
creations. A massive array of tools,
props, sets, costumes and life sized figures are utilized to create projects
that have been used in various videos and movies. American Made Monster Studio
was actually born out of a need from a sister company called, Headless Horseman
Hayrides and Haunted Houses. Almost a
year in advance the artists of American Made Monster Studio collaborate and
design new creations to ensure that the eight weekends leading up to Halloween are
a huge success each year at Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted Houses! Amercian Made Monster Studio has made big
impressions in a variety of ways, but most recently at TransWorld’s Halloween & Attraction show. The ONLY
industry trade show of its kind in the world, American Made Monster
Studio was named Best New Booth as ‘Transworld’s 2015 Halloween &
Attractions Show 1st Time Exhibitor.”
Mike and Nancy Jubie, owners and operators of American Made
Monster Studio are not novices when it comes to creating and running successful
businesses. While Mike and Nancy have had great success with Headless Horseman
Hayrides for 20+ years, their first business, Sunshine Tees & Embroidery
has been in operation since 1971. Mike,
a retired Kingston Police detective, and Nancy, a retired RN, started SunShine
Tees next to UPAC in Kingston. Later, they moved to Kingston
Plaza and now they are happily settled on Dedrick St. in midtown Kingston. Back when they were located in the Kingston
Plaza, is actually when they originally came to meet and do business with Bob
Ryan, Jr. Nancy Jubie explains, “Bob happened to be at a nearby establishment
and decided to come by to say ‘Hello’ with a few fellow friends. He made a
lasting impression and we have been doing business together ever since.” Nancy adds, “24 hours a day, weekends
included, if there is ever a problem with our insurance or a question that we
have, Bob is there to help us out!” She
continues to say, “Jeanne & Kathleen are always extremely helpful whenever
I’m not dealing directly with Bob.”
Many people have contributed to the success of these three
businesses that Mike and Nancy Jubie have created and operated in the city of
Kingston, NY throughout the past 40+ years.
One thing is certain; they have dedicated, talented and hardworking
staffs that help in the success of all of their businesses on a daily
basis. So if you are ever in need of
‘burning your brand’ on a T-shirt, sign or banner, visit SunShine Tees' website or give them a call.
