Charlton Precision Products, Inc. manufactures and assembles wire harnesses and cable assemblies for many different types of electronic devices including mammogram machines, computers, and solar panels. Charlton Precision Products was started in the 1960’s by Bob’s parents, Warren and Katherine Charlton. The business, like so many others, began in their garage and then moved to a small location on Washington Avenue in Kingston. In 1970, the business was incorporated, and later moved to its 3000 sq. ft. location on Sawkill Rd. The business has always been, and will continue to be, run by the Charlton family. Today, Bob, his mother, Katherine Charlton, and two sisters, Nancy Charlton and Bonnie Charlton own the business. Bob runs the day-to-day operation of Charlton Precision Products, and for the past eight years his son, Corey, has worked with him. Charlton Precision Products currently employs seven people.Bob and his wife, Robin, were born and raised in the Kingston and Saugerties areas. They raised three of their own children here, and continue to be active, supportive members of the community.
Charlton Precision Products and the Charlton family began their insurance relationship with Bob Ryan back in the 1990’s. Now, the next generation of Charlton family members are also entrusting their home, auto and other personal insurance with Ryan and Ryan Insurance Brokers.
